How did Alexander McQueen become famous?
Alexander McQueen used to be a contradictory personality and some of his collections were considered as too exotic. At the same time he has always been famous and his unusual tricks made his fashion shows even more attractive for his rich and famous clients. McQueen discovered that he was gay at the age of 6.
He didn’t try to cover his sexual orientation and was bullied for it at school. That’s why he dropped out studying and found a job at men’s clothing shop at the age of 16. Gradually he fell in love with fashion world and decided to create clothes himself.
McQueen found a job at Anderson and Shephard shop, where he was taught to cut out clothes. From his teens McQueen was extremely precise in cutting out and sewing clothes and later it was his main feature, which distinguished him from the others. His models have always been very complicated and unusual, at the same time their cut was perfect.
Alexander McQueen used to be an honored fashion designer, but he was not happy. He used drugs. The genius passed away on the 9th day after his mother’s death from cancer.
He hanged himself in his house in London. His tragic death made him even more popular.
