How did Carey Mulligan become so famous?

Carey Mulligan is an actress, who had caught the hearts of both – critics and the audience. She participated in bankable movies like “An Education”, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, “The Great Gatsby” etc and in 2010 she got her first Oscar nomination.        She achieved glory and wealth, but seems not to care about it.

Carey Mulligan was born in a family, which had nothing in common with cinema. But she had a strong calling to acting and begged the teachers to give her role in school plays.

In 2004 Carey finally felt satisfied, when she was casted to the new play – and not school one, but professional. She debuted in “Forty Winks” at Royal Theater in London.

Carey Mulligan got her first screen role in the series “Trial & Retribution”. Her strong point was the ability to change. She could play any heroine – modern or old-fashioned, glamorous or nerdy.

Carey Mulligan reached her stardom and had a right to call herself as international celebrity after her participation in the movie “Pride & Prejudice”.

Carey Mulligan has a busy schedule, although she made a small pause in her career, when she had become a mother.
