How did Ashanti become famous?
Ashanti is an internationally popular star. Her debut album, released in 2003, which she named “Ashanti”, won the young star Grammy Award.
She became popular as an author too, as the major part of her songs the star writes herself. For example, she was co-author of the hit “Foolish”, which, actually, made her a star. Ashanti tried her hand as an actress too. She debuted in “Bride and Prejudice” and then featured in a number of successful popular projects like “Coach Carter”, “Christmas in the City” etc.
So, how did it happen that Ashanti had become so popular?
Ashanti was born in a family of a dancer and of a singer. She got interested in dancing, music making and acting from the earliest years. The girl had everything to become popular – she was beautiful, she had talent of a musician and she could act rather well.
The girl used to sing in a church choir and her mother, who noticed the daughter’s talent, helped her child to record the demo tape and sent it to executives of various recording companies. Finally, she was signed with Murder Inc. Records.
Now Ashanti appeared in the new movie “Mothers and Daughters” and is working on her sixth album “Chapter VI”.
