How did Carlos Santana become famous?

Carlos Santana’s name is one of the most prominent in baseball now. He is fast, he is precise and he is almost undefeated. He made a long way on top, started from a poor home in Dominican Republic and ending with a rich mansion in LA.

So, that’s his story.

 Carlos Santana’s family was incredibly poor. They came even poorer, when his father left the family. The boy was a teenager then and his parents asked him, with whom he would like to live, with a mother or with a father. Santana knew that his mother needed support and stayed with her and his 5 sisters.

His mom encouraged the boy to play baseball, while his dad wanted Carlos to make career in the army. It was one more reason, why the teenager chose his mom – he wanted to play baseball.

Carlos Santana was noticed by a talent scout, when he was playing baseball with other boys in the street. He advised the talented teenager to enter Dominican baseball academy.

There the young player showed great results and in 2004 he was transferred to LA Dodgers. Thus Carlos Santana started his career in USA. Now he plays for Indians.

When Carlos Santana is asked about the secret of his success, he tells, that “his career depends on his faith”.
