He founded and is the currently heading Dimension Films. Bob together with his brother Harvey are the founders of Miramax films (name was coined from their parents’ names).
Miramax in the nineties was of the most renowned and independent movie studios in the US so much so that Disney offered them a big deal for ownership of Miramax. With his brother, they took this deal and years later left Miramax to start their own production company, The Weinstein Co.
