Now, Kirk Cameron is known for being the voice of evangelism in the movie industry. He is most probably the most prominent Christian actors existing in today’s world. Growing Pains was more than the series that shot Cameron to limelight; it was where he met his sweetheart. Mike Seaver (his role in the sitcom) had a girlfriend names Kate MacDonald. Yes! Apparently the chemistry both teens shared was more than fictional as they quickly became a thing even while they were off set.
Growing Pains ended in 1992 but before the show ended, the young couple tied the knot on July 21, 1991. At their wedding, only family was present and years after at the Growing Pains reunion, Cameron admitted that if he could go back in years, he would have made a better decision. Kirk was already a born-again Christian as the show was rounding up so he thought it was right to just back out on relationships and friends that were not in same line with his religious views.
Chelsea was born Nancy Mueller and together with her husband co-founded the Firefly Foundation; an evangelical foundation that sponsors free summer camping trips for terminally ill children. In movies, Chelsea stars with her husband as a “kissing double”. Since Kirk became a Christian, he stands unshakably on the fact that he cannot kiss any woman that is not his wife. Because of this, Noble always replaces other actresses in scenes where Kirk has to be romantically involved with the original character.
