Celebrities invent some of the craziest and unbelievable names we’ve ever heard.
They do anything to make their children stand out from the rest, and they have plenty of creativity to do so.
Let’s dive right into our list and marvel at what famous people come up with.
Kulture Kiari Cephus
(Cardi B and Kiari Cephus aka Offset)
Rappers Cardi B and Offset decided to stick with the letter K when naming their child, even though it meant drastically misspelling the word ‘culture’.
Sage Moonblood, Seargeoh and Sistine Stallone
Sly was really creative with his children’s names, although two of his other daughters are named simply Scarlet and Sophia. And if you’re confused about Seargeoh, it’s basically Sergio, just spelled uniquely.
Blue Angel Evans
(The Edge)
The Carters weren’t the first ones to come up with Blue! Nobody tell them.
Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh Nouvel, Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt
(Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie)
Angelina put a lot of thought into her children’s names: Maddox means “fortunate” in Welsh, Zahara is named after a shining flower Zahra, Pax is a combination of two Vietnamese words, which mean “peaceful sky”, Shiloh translates “place of peace” from Hebrew, and Vivienne and Knox are Jolie’s family names.
Apple Martin
(Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin)
Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the first celebs to give her child a wacky name. But we’ve seen more creative ones since then.
Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi Carter
(Beyonce And Jay-Z)
Everyone thought Blue Ivy was going to be the strangest name Beyonce and Jay-Z can give their child, until twins Sir and Rumi were born. Sir has a very respectful ring to it, well done, Bey and Jay.
Future Zahair Wilburn
(Ciara and rapper Future)
Ciara’s son was given his father’s stage pseudonym, which kind of makes it a family name now.
Ocean, True, Sonnet Noel and Autumn Whitaker
(Forest Whitaker)
Forest really should’ve stuck to the nature-themed names. He could’ve had the whole package!
Ace Knute Johnson
(Jessica Simpson)
Jessica named her son Ace, because it means “the person who excels at everything”, and Knute is her husband’s family name.
Bronx Mowgli Wentz and Jagger Snow Ross
(Ashlee Simpson)
For Bronx Mowgli, the obvious inspiration was “The Jungle Book”, and Jagger Snow was named in honor of the legendary Mick Jagger.
Ode Mountain DeLorenzo Malone
(Jena Malone)
We give this poetic name a 7/10 on the “weird baby names” scale, it’s not the strangest, but is quite up there.
Rainbow Aurora and Forest Leonardo Antonio Rotella
(Holly Madison)
We can see that Holly with her husband Pasquale Rotella drew inspiration for her children’s name from nature, the outcome is certainly unique.
Seven Sirius, Puma Sabti, and Mars Merkaba
(Erykah Badu)
Erykah crammed it all in her children’s names: numbers, planets, animals. Then again, why not?
Moroccan and Monroe Cannon
(Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon)
The only question that comes to mind when hearing Mariah and Nick’s kids’ names is why didn’t they just go with Morocco?
Tallulah, Scout, Rumer, and Mabel Ray Willis
(Bruce Willis and Demi Moore)
Bruce and Demi took Scout and Rumer from literature (Scout was a character In “To Kill a Mockingbird”, and Rumer shares her name with British author Rumer Godden). Tallulah and Mabel Ray (born to Bruce and Emma Heming) seem quite tame compared to their sisters.
Heiress, Major Philant, Deyjah Imani, Domani Uriah, and Messiah Ya’Majesty Harris
(Tip T.I. Harris and Tameka Cottle)
Looks like rapper T.I. thought his children would follow his career path and took care of their pseudonyms for them.
Royalty Brown
(Chris Brown)
Rappers and luxury go hand in hand, and Chris Brown is no exception. Royalty’s mom even trademarked her name!
Satchel Lee
(Spike Lee)
Spike Lee called his daughter Satchel, although it more of a boy’s name. Then again, who’s to say what’s appropriate anymore. He also has a son named Jackson.
Kyd Miller Duchovny
(David Duchovny)
The name Kyd is quite conventional, it’s the spelling we’re questioning. However, David’s son isn’t a fan of it and prefers to go by Miller.
Bear Blu Jarecki
(Alicia Silverstone)
Aside from Alicia Silverstone, three other celebrities chose Bear as their baby names, including Kate Winslet, Cheryl Cole, and Jamie Oliver.
Peaches, Pixie, and Fifi Trixibelle Geldof
(Bob Geldof)
These names seem like they came straight from Disney animation, so whimsical!
Sparrow James Midnight Madden
(Nicole Richie and Joel Madden)
Nicole and Joel’s son is definitely going to go by his middle name when he grows up, unless he starts a rock band, in which case Sparrow is perfect. They also have daughter named Harlow.
Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban
(Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban)
Sunday and Faith go very well together, although Nicole and Keith aren’t that religious.
Story Paul
(Aaron Paul)
Apparently, Aaron Paul and his wife got married on their first date and because it’s such an amazing story, they decided to call their daughter little Story. That’s cute!
Stormi Scott
(Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott)
Kylie and Travis actually wanted to name their girl Storm, but it didn’t sit well with them, so they settled on Stormi. As you can tell it was a major change.
Saint West, North West and Chicago West
(Kanye West and Kim Kardashian)
At first, everyone thought that Kim and Kanye were joking about naming their daughter North West, but then came Saint and Chicago, which don’t even surprise us anymore.
Reign Aston Disick
(Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick)
Scott often refers to himself as “Lord Disick”. We guess he wanted to give at least his son some legitimate royal vibe.
True Thompson
(Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson)
True is actually a family name! Khloe’s great-grandfather was named True and it was also her grandfather’s middle name. We guess this is the most logical baby name in the Kardashian clan.
Dream Renee Kardashian
(Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna)
Rob’s daughter was his true dream, although his relationship with Blac Chyna was anything but.
Bear Grey Payne
(Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne)
Bear seems to be a popular name among the celebrities. It’s time to add it into the Book of Baby Names.
River Rocket, Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo, Petal Blossom Rainbow and Buddy Bear Oliver
(Jamie Oliver)
Jamie Oliver’s kids win the title of “the most British-sounding names of all time”.
Bluebell Madonna Halliwell and Montague George Hector Horner
(Geri Halliwell)
Geri Halliwell actually didn’t do a bad job at naming her daughter, however, with her son it seems like she couldn’t decide on one name and just gave him all three options.
Moxie CrimeFighter and Zolten Penn Jillette
(Penn Jillette)
If you’re considering using any of these two names, just know that Moxie CrimeFighter is a girl and Zolten Penn is a boy.
Kal-El Coppola Cage
(Nicolas Cage)
Nicolas Cage is such a big fan of Superman, he decided to call his son in honor of his favorite superhero.
Zola Ivy and Izzy Oona Murphy
(Eddie Murphy)
Look, Eddie Murphy has 9 kids (the 10th is coming soon), at some point coming up with names becomes practically impossible. So what do you do? Improvise!
Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter Moder
(Julia Roberts)
Julia might’ve gone overboard with spelling out her son’s name that way. The thing is, Phineas is a common name, and is much easier to spell than Roberts’ version. But, of course, she’s not the only celeb parent that came up with a wacky-spelled name.
Gravity Blue Smith
(Lucky Blue Smith and Stormi Henley)
Maybe Gravity has to do something with staying grounded? Doubtful, since her parents are famous supermodels.
Dusty Rose and Geo Grace Levine
(Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo)
Adam and Behati followed the nature theme when choosing names for their girls. Dusty Rose represents a flower, while Geo stands for “earth”, which makes the names of two sisters very harmonic with each other.
Jermajesty Jackson
(Jermaine Jackson)
Jermaine Jackson combined his own name with majesty, which might be his favorite word. What is it with celebs giving their kids royalty-inspired names? He also named his other kids Jaafar, Donte, Dawn and Autum.
Pilot Inspektor Lee
(Jason Lee)
Maybe Jason Lee went with the following logic: name your child whatever you want them to be in the future. Interesting tactic.
Koraun, Iyanna, Zion Shamaree, and Jirah Mayweather
(Floyd Mayweather)
Floyd went with very exotic names for his children, and they’re all quite beautiful!
Moon Unit, Diva Muffin, and Dweezil Zappa
(Frank Zappa)
We don’t even know which of these names is stranger. What do you think?
Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf Pechenik
(Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik)
Deschanel’s children are lucky only their middle names were borrowed from the animal kingdom, this way no one has to know about them.
Destry Allyn Spielberg
(Steven Spielberg)
Both of these first names seem like typos, but nothing the legendary Steven Spielberg does is accidental.
Zuma Nesta Rock and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale
(Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale)
Do children really need three names? While Apollo got Bowie and Flynn as his middle names, which are Gwen and Gavin’s mothers’ maiden names, Zuma wasn’t as lucky.
Audio Science Clayton
(Shannyn Sossamon)
What’s interesting is that Shannyn called her second child Mortimer, so what happened the first time around?
Tu Morrow
(Rob Morrow)
Rob Morrow thought we wouldn’t notice the hilarious word play, but we did. Great name for daughter.
Atticus and Indiana August Affleck
(Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix)
To answer your question: no, neither Casey nor Summer are from Indiana. But we can see how August was most likely inspired by the mother’s name.
